The play “Snow Waltz” is based on the play “Captive in the Snow” by contemporary English playwright Peter Quilter, whose works have been translated into 27 languages and staged in more than 40 countries.

The romantic comedy Snow Waltz is set against the backdrop of a winter storm. Everything is built on contrast: snowdrifts outside the window and an emerging timid, but very warm feeling.

The story focuses on the relationship between two lonely hearts: Patrick and Judith. They live next door to each other, but have never seen each other before. Forced isolation from society or voluntary seclusion is disrupted by the elements. “They came together: water and stone, poetry and prose, ice and fire.” Judith and Patrick are completely different, but they are united by loneliness.

The clash of two polar characters creates an endless number of comedic situations. The characters make fun of each other, ironically comment on their habits and make good-natured jokes about any reason.

The romance in the play is heavily seasoned with humor and self-irony.
